Welcome to the website of Jacquie Ellis – NZ Artist.

We are relocating and will reopen soon near Paeroa, once again bringing you private tuition and workshops set amongst beautiful gardens in a rural environment. On-site is a water lily pond, garden ramble, roses, and a Monet bridge – perfect for plein air painting and photographs. We are currently creating a new artspace studio and workshop, and will let you know when it opens.

About the artist

As a visual artist of light and colour, capturing the light is everything when I paint.  It is always the light that offers soft or vibrant changes to each work, whether it be in my chosen mediums of pastel, oil or acrylics.  It is my inspiration, changing with the  seasons, the subtle tones and values transforming shapes and landscapes in just a matter of seconds as they are laid on the canvas. My style is flexible, my genres varied, and the mediums I use altering with each piece, offering the viewer an opportunity to enjoy a wide, unique and original range of artwork. I am usually in my studio and workshop onsite, and always happy to discuss any work or commission with you.

Portfolio

This gallery of paintings portrays just a small number of those currently for sale. It reflects a range of different genres, styles and mediums that I enjoy using. Unframed, framed, mounted and stretched canvases are available. Prices available on request. Please use the Contact Me page.

Artworks can be viewed at the Paeroa Society of Arts in Normanby Rd, Paeroa. Visit them and have a chat. Commissions on request.

Resin Creations

Resin is a very versatile medium to have fun with. You can create amazing things like cheeseboards, beautiful and functional platters, coasters, and small resin items like pyramids and crystals.    Native NZ and exotic woods have been sourced from a local mill for the cheeseboards and platters.

All made in my studio in Coromandel. These will be available for sale again once the studio is relocated. Unique gifts for house warming, weddings, thank yous – something just a little bit special. Eftpos, Visa and Mastercard available for your purchases.
